Penzance Youth String Orchestra

On 9th November 2010 PYSO played 'Summer' from Vivaldi's Four Seasons
at the Music for Youth Schools Prom at the Royal Albert Hall, London,
with soloist Ross Pike on electric guitar.

9th July 2010. We accompanied Shallal at their performance in St John's Hall, Penzance.
We also played a variety of our PYSO repertoire, plus solos and trios played by members of PYSO.

On 7th July 2010 we attended the Music For Youth National Festival of Music for Youth at City Hall Birmingham. We were the proud recipients of the Classic FM String and Chamber Orchestras Award for "innovative pushing of musical boundaries and an excellent performance in its own right".











St Mary's Church Penzance 21st June 2010 as part of Golowan Festival Ross Pike was again our soloist on electric guitar for Vivaldi's 'Four Seasons'








We shared the concert with Penzance Youth Wind Band. For the final piece, Sibelius 'Finlandia', we joined together under the baton of Sam Parker of Penzance Youth Wind Band.




St Mary's Catholic Church Penzance 13th May 2010 We were joined by members of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. Concerto for Two Cellos in G minor Vivaldi Concerto Grosso op.6 no.6 Handel Ross Pike was our soloist on electric guitar for Vivaldi's 'Four Seasons'
